Create Layout

Description

This tool creates layouts for the selected assembly’s user created tickets. The layout will save the sheet views, view locations, schedules, legends, and view templates to disk to be applied to another assembly. After clicking Create Layout select the assembly to copy its sheets. By default, all sheets associated with the assembly will be selected to be copied, but selections can be made to include only the desired sheets. Once the assembly is selected, the Create Ticket Layout window will be shown with a single line added per sheet from the selected assembly. Each sheet can create its own layout.

Here the following items are of note:

1. The ticket layout directory is the default location on disk that the software will save layouts to. This location is also the default location the Apply Layout tool uses to look for templates. This folder can be changed on the fly.

2. Changes the directory for the ticket layout.

3. Checking / Unchecking toggles if that sheet should have a layout made.

4. The name of the layout to be saved to the directory provided. This name must be unique, if the name is not unique a prompt will inform you that it will overwrite an existing layout and will ask you to confirm.

Clicking Okay on the Create Ticket Layout window will create a layout file for each sheet selected to include using the file name input in the Layout Name field.
