Camber and Deflection

Camber and Deflection

Camber and long-term deflections are estimated using the PCI Multiplier method. Prestress uplift is
computed using the moment-area method, which permits beams that contain debonding to be accurately
handled. Instantaneous deflections due to applied loads are computed using closed-form solutions.
To obtain long-term prestress uplift and load deflections, growth multipliers are applied to the
instantaneous values.
Sign convention: Upward deflections are positive.
