Modify Family

Modify family will setup the parameters of a selected element according to the user’s created modify family file. The modify family file is created and edited in the Modify Family Settings. Then, to use the file, the Modify Family tool needs to be selected.

Open

To use the tool the project must be open to the Family Editor using whichever family is to be modified. Then, after the Modify Family button is clicked the user will be prompted to select a file. The window will automatically be pointing to the Modify Family file library location. After selecting a file, clicking Okay will start the process of modifying the family.
