Locating Eriksson Sync for Tekla Structures

Eriksson Sync for Tekla Structures is a component in Tekla Structures. After installation it can be accessed from the “Ungrouped items” group in the “Application & components” window. It can be moved to another group by right-clicking on it and selecting “Add to group” from the context menu.

Accessing Eriksson Sync for Tekla Structures

Clicking on the Eriksson Sync component button brings up the launcher window where all of Eriksson Sync’s functions can be accessed.

This window hovers over Tekla Structures until a button in the window is clicked. It can be dragged to any spot on the screen to easily view and interact with the model. The buttons in the window are divided into three sections and each button has a tool tip describing its function that can be seen by hovering the mouse over the button.

Tools

The buttons in the Tools section give access to functions that interact with the Tekla Structures model and Eriksson design files.

Design Part(s) is used to create Eriksson design files from parts in the model.

Reinforce Part(s) is used to add reinforcement into the model from Eriksson design files.

Add Lifters to Part(s) is used to add lifter components to the model from Eriksson design files.

Open Design Manager will open the Design Manager window where design associations can be managed.

Edit

The buttons in the Edit section provide functions for editing parts in the model.

Edit Cross Section is used to change the geometry of a selected part.

Add Solid Zone is used to add a solid to any part in the model.

Settings

The buttons in the Settings section provide access to additional functionality and help.

Sync Settings allows editing of the functionality and behavior of Eriksson Sync.

Help brings up online help files and documentation in the default web browser. An internet connection is required.

Properties

The Eriksson Sync Properties window can be accessed by right-clicking on the Eriksson Sync component button to bring up the context menu then clicking on Properties.

This window provides important information about Eriksson Sync for Tekla Structures.

• Manage License brings up the Licensing window for activating and deactivating the license for Eriksson Sync. An internet connection is required.

• Check for Update will communicate with the Eriksson update server to check for an update to Eriksson Sync for Tekla Structures. If one exists, a window will appear showing the new version number and the change log. The update can then be downloaded from that window. An internet connection is required.

The properties window also contains contact information for Eriksson Software. There is a hyperlink to the Eriksson Software web site to learn more about Eriksson Software’s products and services. Also, there is an e-mail link for support with this software.
