Stability & Handling

Stability

A comprehensive check can be performed for the stability during handling and hauling of the girder.

Stability parameters are per Mast 1989 and 1993.

Days:

Initial Eccentricity: Initial eccentricity of center of gravity of beam.

Camber: Camber measured in inch.

Support Start/End: Support locations can be specified for lifting and handling as well as a separate set for hauling. Both the start and end support locations can be independently specified from the start and end of the beam, respectively.

Impact: Separate impact factors can be specified for form suction, handling, and shipping. Impact is treated as a percent of the self-weight of the beam and is checked in both the positive (downward) and negative directions.

Wind Load, kip/ft: Wind load along the length of the beam.
