Check Include Shear Steel to include shear steel in the culvert. The shear steel must be designed by the user. The shear steel is defined for six areas: the top slab exterior cells, the bottom slab exterior cells, the top slab interior cells, the bottom slab interior cells, the exterior walls, and the interior walls.

To define the shear steel zones for any area first set the number of zones. Then for each zone input the area of steel (in²/ft) and the length for that zone. The distance from the left end of the area to the start and end of the zone will be automatically calculated and shown. Zones cannot extend past the end of the clear span. The length of the clear span is shown at the top right.
