This tab covers the concrete extents and architectural features of the column.  Note that some of the entries on this tab can be input in either decimal inches or feet-inches.  If input is in decimal inches, it will automatically be converted to feet-inches.  You can also input feet and inches using the single and double quote characters.

Header

Description

Top / Bottom Elevation

The elevation of the top and bottom of the column. All input based elevations are based on these input values. By setting the bottom elevation to a non-zero value, you can later update the foundation elevation (if needed) and the loads and supports will not have to be updated. Setting the elevation also assists with quicker checking as it will match corresponding drawings / models.

Height

The height of the panel is the top elevation minus the bottom elevation.

Typical Section

The typical section is the average column cross-section, neglecting holes and voids.

Width: Indicates which face (interior or exterior) will be top in form when the member is cast.  Note that legs will always be placed bottom in form, while lift loops will always be placed top in form.

Depth: Indicates which face (interior or exterior) will be top in form when the member is cast.  Note that legs will always be placed bottom in form, while lift loops will always be placed top in form.

Corner Type

Radius: Radius of the rounded corner

Chamfer: Applies a flat corner to the section.

 Depth: Depth of the flat corner.

Fillet: Will apply a rounded corner with a radius equal to the user input.

Length:Overall length of the void as measured parallel to the height of the column.
