Before inserting the reinforcement into the model Reinforce Part settings can be changed as needed. Options are provided to choose what types of reinforcement to remove and what types of reinforcement to insert, as well as how the reinforcement should be placed into the parts.

Removal Settings

Selections can be made about which types of reinforcement to remove from the selected parts in the model before placing reinforcement from the design files.

Insertion Settings

The types of reinforcement to insert from the design files into the selected parts can be selected.

Also, there are many options that change how reinforcement is placed. These settings assist the software in determining how to place the reinforcement when the concrete extents in the design file do not exactly match those of the selected partsFor more information, go to the Reinforce Part Settings page.

Run

Run must be clicked to make the association between the selected parts and the design files if an association does not already exist. Once Run is clicked reinforcement will be read from the design files and placed into the associated parts according to the selections in the Settings window.
