Reinforce component Part is used to associate design files with components parts in the model and to insert reinforcement from the design file into the componentpart. Any number of components parts can be selected.

Associated Design File

When components parts are selected in Tekla Structures the associated design file name will be shown if it exists. If not, the text “No Design Selected” will be shown. If multiple components parts are selected with different associated design files then the text “Multiple Designs Selected” will be shown.

Whether design files are associated with the components parts or not an existing design file can be selected by clicking the button to the right of the file path. This opens the open file dialog box. The type of Eriksson Project File that can be used will be determined by the component types type of parts selected in the model. Navigate to the folder that contains the design file and click Open.

The design file will not be associated with the components parts until the Run button is clicked.

Settings

Before inserting the reinforcement into the model the Reinforce Part settings can be changed on what existing reinforcement should be removed before placing the new reinforcement, what as needed. The settings provide options to choose what types of reinforcement to remove and what types of reinforcement to insert, and as well as options on how the reinforcement should be placed into the parts.
