The file location settings takes in the inputs for all files that are located on disk. These include the locations of multiple settings files in addition to the location's of the design software.

Setting File Locations

The settings files contains the locations of the general settings for Eriksson Sync and the location of the profile map. The Settings File contains all of the options for Design Part, Reinforce Part, and Add Lifters to Part. The Profile Map file contains all of the information contained withing the Supported Profiles tab of the settings file.

The default location of both of these files are located in the current users AppData folder. It is however common for a company to want to share a single Profile Map file across the entire company. If this is the case you can simply move the file to a shared location and update the path under Settings → Settings Files → Profile Map File. It is typically uncommon to share the same settings file across multiple devices as this controls how the program behaves which is more of a user preference.

Design Application Locations

The design application locations controls where the Eriksson Commercial Suite executables are located. These are needed because Design Part launches the design software and these need to be separately installed and activated to work correctly. If at any time the design software is not found, an Error 0404: File not found will be displayed to the user. For more information visit the error page.
