Design Part includes settings about what information should be passed from the Tekla element to the design file. The settings control if, and how, to pull over the concrete extents and reinforcing information.

Concrete Extents

Concrete extents can either be included in the target design file or not. If they are included, Eriksson Sync will replace the entire contents of the concrete extents tab in the Eriksson Software design application with information from the Tekla Structures' model. This includes the exact geometry, as modeled, and cross section information (which is provided by the profile).

The solid zone inclusion option is for insulated wall panels. It dictates which solid zones are to be included in the design file. In order for this method to work, the element must contain an insulation solid. The options are to include all solid zones, only endblocks, or no solid zones.

The slab longitudinal direction is used to denote the orientation of any slabs in the model. Slabs are opened in Eriksson Beam by default. For Eriksson Sync to determine the orientation the longitudinal direction must be designated as either the long or short side of the slab.

Material properties are pulled over as long as the element's material name is in PSI (5000, 6000, etc).

Reinforcement

Each type of reinforcement is given the option to be included in the target design file or not. When a type of reinforcement is included it will replace that same type in an existing design file. For example, if strand is included it will replace all strand in the design file. The reinforcement is placed relative to the bottom left corner of the section in the design file.

The material properties of the reinforcement are not pulled over.
