Top-in-Form

Top-in-Form

Description

Based on inputs from the user, this tool aligns the Assembly Origin to be in the correct orientation relative to the selected faces on the created bounding box. When the user uses this tool, the model will generate a translucent bounding box on the assembly selected first by the user. The user is allowed to either isolate the element or leave it in the full model while the tool is running (this isolation will be reverted upon completion of the tool). Once the new bounding box element is created the tool will prompt the user to first select the Top-In-Form face. This will remove all faces that may not be selected to create a valid origin basis. The tool will then prompt the user to select the “Mark End” face. The intersection of these two faces will become the origin of the assembly and the selected faces will determine the direction of the XYZ basis.
