Copy Assembly Parts
Description
This tool copies all specialty equipment such as reinforcement and lifters from a source element to multiple target elements. This tool is not limited to a 2D view and can be copied in 3D models. When copying an element, the tool compares its location relative to the assembly’s location in the source element and positions it at the same location in the target element. Because of this, the assembly’s location must be correct in both the source and target element, or the elements will be placed incorrectly.
Settings
The copy tool copies only elements that meet the parameters in the Copy Assembly Parts Settings:
From the settings, elements will be chosen by inspecting the element’s family name and its Component Type parameter, which is entered in the General Parameters of the BIMpak Settings.
The copy tool checks four conditions:
Does the family name contain any of the values entered in the first list box.
Does the Component Type parameter contain any of the values entered in the second list box.
Is the Component Type parameter equal to any of the values in the third list box.
Does the Component Type parameter not contain any of the values in the fourth list box.
