The Default Locations Wizard can be subdivided into 3 sections, the lift point count (1), the details screen (2), and the settings menu (3) as seen above. To finalize your selection press the “Okay” button and the currently selected lift point count will be added to the support locations table.

Lift Point Count Selector

The first section allows for the selection of 1, 2, 3, or 4 lift points with varying options for 3 lift points. Clicking on any of the items in the list will bring up more values for consideration. The selector offers an “at-a-glance” view of if the lift points are valid or not. A check mark denotes that the pile’s calculated Lmax is greater than the actual pile length. A red “X” indicates the pile’s length is too large and will need more support.

Details Screen

The details screen offers a more in-depth look at the lifting configuration. This screen offers a general look at the lift itself in the form of a diagram and below it offers more information on the moments and reactions for the selected lift. Lmax is the largest length of a pile before the lifting configuration is no longer valid.

Settings Menu

The settings menu can be seen above and allows for customization of the default selections. All stages that are checked will be checked when added to the handling support locations table. Rounding tolerance can be changed to be to the nearest inch, 1/2”, 1/4”, or 1/8”.

Remove existing items will clear all old support locations in favor of the newly chosen default locations.
