Transverse Pile View

The transverse view is a not to scale feature of the pile design software that allows users to create a side profile of the designed pile. This will show view is not to scale and is used to visualize the transverse zones input from the reinforcement input tab and auto populate the first bars list row. The view will also show top connection embeds if the option to use them is enabled. The first Bar List table row is auto-populated based on the information entered in the reinforcement input tab.

Embedment Callout Text

The embedment callout in the transverse pile view can be customized. User input text will be used in the detail; the text may include variables that will use specific text strings in the callout text.

Callout Variables

Variables can be used with the form “{VARIABLE_HERE}”. These variables will be replaced in the callout with a specific text. The variables currently in the program are listed below:

  1. {DIMENSION} → Adds the current dimensions of the embed in the form of [ 1”⌀ X 1'-1” LONG ] where the diameter and length, 1” and 1'-1” respectively, are replaced with design accurate values.

Bar List Table

The bar list table is a table that a feature of the pile design software that allows users to create a table of all bars included in the current design project. The table can be expanded upon to include all bars in the current design projectand can be edited as necessary. The cells that show purple are editable, while cells not colored are auto-populated based on other factors in the design.

If this the bar list table is deemed unnecessary, it may can be turned off in the setting panel. To turn off the bar list table, go to the "Options" panel located on the right pane of the software. This will contain all settings, where you can turn off the bar list table feature.

Strand can be auto populated with the “Auto Add Strand” option which will update the row in the Bar List table until the user edits a row. If a row is edited then it will stay as the user input it. Rebar will also be auto populated into this list if “top connection” is not used in the design.

Cross-Sectional View

The cross-sectional view is a feature of the pile design software that allows users to create a cut section of the pile detailing and view the prestressing strand and transverse reinforcement. The prestressing strand is dimensioned to the center of the strand.

The cross-sectional view displays the prestressing strand and transverse reinforcement in detail. Prestressing The prestressing strand is dimensioned to the center of the strand, allowing users to accurately position the strand within the pile. The transverse reinforcement is also displayed in detail, allowing users to visualize the reinforcement in the pile.

Users can modify the prestressing strand and transverse reinforcement in the cross-sectional view as necessary. To modify the prestressing strand, the reinforcement input tab may be used. To modify the transverse reinforcement, the reinforcement input tab may be used.

Custom Detail

The custom details feature is a feature of the pile design software that allows users to add unique custom details to their projects. There are six unique custom details that may be added to the project. These details can either be generated by the program in some cases or imported by the user in other cases.

To add a custom detail, click on the "Add" button located in the center of each custom detail. This will open up a selection window that lets the user select a custom detail of their choice. Currently, there are four supported details that may be selected from the program, Custom Image, Detensioning, Embed Elevation, and Embed Section.

Custom Image Import

The custom image import allows for the addition of four unique pile drawings to be displayed. This section is broken into two sections per image.

The image - The actual drawing to be displayed

...

feature is a feature of the pile design software that allows users to add any image file or a drawing file (.dwg/.dxf) to their project. This image will be drawn directly to the page and can be scaled as needed. The quality of the image may vary depending on the image quality during import. If a drawing file from AutoCAD is imported, the image will be a vector image and will be scalable, having no reduction in image quality. This is because vector images are not made up of pixels like raster images and can be scaled to any size without losing quality.

Preview Your DWG Files

The Preview section provides you with a visual representation of your imported .dwg files. You'll see a clear preview of your drawing in the window. We've made sure that the quality of the image is maintained, allowing you to scale your drawings without any loss in visual clarity.

Customize Your DWG Files

We understand that you may want to make specific adjustments to your imported .dwg files. That's why we've included settings to help you personalize the appearance of your drawings.

DWG Settings

The DWG Settings section empowers you to customize various aspects of your imported .dwg file:

  1. Line Weight: Adjust the thickness of lines in your drawing to match other elements.

  2. Width Multiplier: Change the rendering aspect ratio to allow more of your drawing to be rendered horizontally.

Info

Use this option if you notice your drawing is being cropped width wise.

3. Height Multiplier: Change the rendering aspect ratio to allow more of your drawing to be rendered vertically.

Info

Use this option if you notice your drawing is being cropped height wise.

4.Scale Multiplier: Modify the overall scale of your imported .dwg file, making it larger or smaller as needed.

Padding

The Padding section allows you to add padding, or space, between the content of your drawing and the surrounding border. This ensures a clean and visually appealing layout:

  1. Left: Define the space between the left edge of your drawing and the border.

  2. Right: Specify the amount of space on the right side of your drawing.

  3. Top: Adjust the space at the top of your drawing for proper alignment.

  4. Bottom: Set the space at the bottom of your drawing for proper alignment.

Detensioning Detail

The detensioning detail option is a feature of the pile design software that allows users to create a detensioning sequence detail that will be placed onto the piece ticket directly. This sequence can be auto-generated using the “Auto” option or manually selected by clicking on the order of the strand that the detensioning sequence should occur in.

To generate an automatic detensioning sequence, click on the "Auto" button located in the window. The software will generate a detensioning sequence in a specific order. It will begin with numbering the first strand, followed by the next number located 180 degrees from the previous, and then the next number at a 45-degree angle from the previous. This order will be repeated for the remaining strands.

To manually select the order of the detensioning sequence, click on the "Manual" button located in the window. This will allow the user to select the order of the detensioning sequence by clicking on the strand that the detensioning sequence should occur in.

Once all strands have been labeled with a sequence number, the detail can be confirmed and placed on the piece ticket. The user can also use the standard undo/redo features to ease the creation of the detensioning sequence, as well as a clear all button in the windows ribbon that will reset the detensioning sequence.

Embed Elevation Detail

The embed elevation allows the user to create a custom drawing that shows the top connection of the pile. This drawing allows for minimal customization such as showing the rebar in the embedments as well as customizing the callout text. A visual preview is displayed on top of the input window to allow for real time updates to the drawing.

Embed Section Detail

The embed section detail is a custom detail that provides a cut-section to show the embements or rebar in the pile. Only the rebar/embedments will be dimensioned in this detail view.

Lifter & Dunnage View

The lifter and dunnage view shows where the program has its lifters and dunnage points set. This view uses relative pile locations as defined in the Table of Properties. Under the title is the design length the program was run with to verify if the lift points will be valid for all relative locations.

...

The general notes input allows the designer to input their own custom notes either by typing or by selecting the import button option and selecting a text file. The font size is customizable with the buttons in the top right.

Embedment Table & Material Specification

The pile embedments embedment table is included to allow for the input of any pile embedments embedment included in the project. If this is deemed unnecessary it may be turned off in the setting panel. Below the embedments embedment table is the material specification table which includes general information on the pile’s material. This table can be customized with the settings panel.
