The file location settings takes in the inputs for all files that are located on disk. These include the locations of multiple settings files in addition to the locations of the design software.

Settings Files

The Settings Files page contains the locations of the general settings for Eriksson Sync, the profile map and design manager files. The Settings File contains all of the options for Design Part, Reinforce Part, and Add Lifters to Part. The Family Map File contains all of the information contained within the Supported Families tab of the settings file. The Design Manager Files folder is where all design manager files will be created by default.

The default location of the Settings File and the Family Map File is in the current user's AppData folder. However, it is common for a company to share a single Family Map File across the entire company. If this is the case the file can be simply moved to a shared location and the new path updated under Family Map File. It is typically uncommon to share the same Settings File across multiple devices as this controls how the program behaves which is a user preference.

The default location for Design Manager Files is in the ProgramData folder. This allows the files to be shared among all users on a computer. The path can be changed at any time but Sync will always look in the set path for the design manager file of any project so files will have to be copied to a new location to maintain the link to their Revit projects.

Design Applications

The Design Applications page contains the file paths to the Eriksson Commercial Suite executables. These are needed for Design Part to launch the Eriksson Software design software. Each program in the Eriksson Commercial Suite must be installed and activated to work correctly. If at any time the design software is not found, an Error 0404: File not found will be displayed. For more information visit the Error Codes.
