The file location settings takes in the inputs for all files that are located on disk. These include the locations of multiple settings files in addition to the locations of the design software.

Settings Files

The Settings Files page contains the locations of the general settings for Eriksson Sync and the profile map. The Settings File contains all of the options for Design Part, Reinforce Part, and Add Lifters to Part. The Profile Map file contains all of the information contained within the Supported Profiles tab of the settings file.

The default location of both files is in the current user's AppData folder. However, it is common for a company to share a single Profile Map file across the entire company. If this is the case the file can be simply moved to a shared location and the new path updated under Profile Map File. It is typically uncommon to share the same Settings File across multiple devices as this controls how the program behaves which is a user preference.

Design Applications

The Design Applications page contains the file paths to the Eriksson Commercial Suite executables. These are needed for Design Part to launch the Eriksson Software design software. Each program in the Eriksson Commercial Suite must be installed and activated to work correctly. If at any time the design software is not found, an Error 0404: File not found will be displayed.
