In this block, you enter all information that sets the strand properties. Depending on which of the section types are selected, the input content will change. The inputs for this section are:
Header | Description | ||
---|---|---|---|
Size | The size of the strand used. | ||
Area | The area of the strand used.
| ||
Diameter | The diameter of the strand used.
| ||
% Pull | The percent pull on the strand. |
Strand Pattern
In this block, you enter all information relating to the strands pattern in the concrete. Depending on which of the section types are selected, the input content will change. The inputs for this section are:
Header | Description | ||
---|---|---|---|
Pattern Type | Either Circular or Rectangular. This input determines what fields are in the strand pattern table below. | ||
Automatically Set Covers | If enabled sets the strand to be directly inside the transverse reinforcement. | ||
Strand Pattern Table (Rectangular) | Sets the outermost border of a defined rectangle of x rows and y columns. For example, if there were 4 rows and 4 columns the outer 12 strands would be shown. The edge distances are from outer edge of the pile to the center of the strand.
| ||
Strand Pattern Table (Circular) | Sets a circular pattern of strand around the pile a set distance in from the pile edge (Edge Distance). The count is the amount of strand in the pattern and the offset is the degrees the strand are offset from their original positions moving counter-clockwise.
|
Rebar Properties
In this block, you enter all information that sets the rebar properties. The inputs for this section are:
Header | Description | ||
---|---|---|---|
Size | The size of the bar used. | ||
Area | The area of the bar used.
| ||
Diameter | The diameter of the bar used.

Rebar Pattern
In this block, you enter all information relating to the rebar pattern in the concrete. The inputs for this section are:

Pattern Type | Either Circular or Rectangular. This input determines what fields are in the rebar pattern table below. | ||
Automatically Set Covers | If enabled sets the bars to be directly inside the transverse reinforcement. | ||
Rebar Pattern Table (Rectangular) | Sets the outermost border of a defined rectangle of x rows and y columns. For example, if there were 4 rows and 4 columns the outer 12 bars would be shown. The edge distances are from outer edge of the pile to the center of the bar.

Transverse Reinforcement
In this block, you enter all information relating to the transverse reinforcement in the pile. Depending on which of the section types are selected, the input content will change. The inputs for this section are:
Header | Description |
---|---|
Spiral/Ties | Sets the transverse confinement reinforcement to be hoop or spiral. |
Type | The transverse confinement reinforment can be either rebar or wire. |
Reinforcement Size | Size of reinforcement. This will change depending on the “Type” field. If the type is rebar select the desired size from the drop down list. If the type is wire enter the W number. |
Minimum Cover | The minimum cover to the transverse confinement reinforcement. |
Transverse Zones
In this block, you enter all zones of transverse reinforcement. This contains the number or turns in the zone, the pitch, or distance between hoops/spirals, of the zone, and the length of the zone. Only the start location and two of the three latter options are required. The third option will be auto populated based on the previous two. This input will be used to generate pile drawings in the production summary and piece ticket as well as used in the shear calculations.
